Students received their graded Reading Folders back and read for 15 minutes. We listened to a student BookShare and then students took turns reading FFA aloud. The last fifteen minutes of class were devoted to the vocabulary/spelling quiz.

Students took notes on the process of writing a memoir and did a brainstorming exercise where they wrote down the positive and negative significant events in their lives.

NEW TUTORIAL TIME!
Hello Everyone!
For Term 3, I will be offering TWO tutorial times to accommodate students who need to attend the Math/Science CRCT tutorial and for students who can't meet either before or after school. The days and times are:
Monday: 8-8:30
Tuesdays: 4-4:30 (although sometimes we WILL be going until 4:45, depending on student needs).
Ms. Black, my student teacher, will also be available to help students some Tuesday afternoons for the next few weeks. Please take advantage of having TWO teachers in tutorial to help the students and send your children if they need help.

Students had the opportunity to make up any literature circle discussions their group missed. Students who completed all of their discussions used the time to put final touches on their literature circle project.

8th Grade - Today in Language Arts - Field Trip
Today we went on a field trip to Fernbank Museum. We completed a scavenger hunt and watched the IMAX film, "The Greatest Places." The students were well behaved and they had a great time.
