Students read for 15 minutes and we listened to a BookShare. I introduced R.A.F.T.S. to the students as a way to organize a persuasive writing piece. R.A.F.T.S. stands for role, audience, format, topic, and strong verb. After the students took notes, I explained the homework and let them know we would continue talking about RAFTS tomorrow.
