All students turned in their Reading Folders for a grade. We discussed situations where we've been persuaded to do something we originally did not want to do. Students identified specific persuasive strategies in these situations. I went through the definitions of ethos, pathos and logos with students. Then students broke into groups of 4 and were given 2 magazine advertisements. In their groups, students discussed if the advertisement used ethos, pathos and/or logos.
