Students read for 15 minutes and we listened to a student BookShare. Then, Ms. Black read Chapter 19 to the students. Today we realized what it means to "be released." Students spent the last part of the hour working on an assignment in which they are to take the vantage point of someone who is either releasing (killing) someone else or someone who is being released (receiving a lethal injection). We will have a discussion on this during class tomorrow.
